The Children's Air Ambulance is a charity close to our heart. Having worked with many families, we often hear their stories of how their children are progressing, in good health, and sometimes life threatening situations.
The Children's Air Ambulance fly critically ill children across the UK to the specialist care they need. Their helicopter not only flies fast, but also serves as a flying intensive care unit for children. They can deliver children to safety approximately four times faster than transport by road. When every second counts this can be a matter of life and death. We know that every day in the UK, there are two children who need their help. But right now they can only reach one in every three children who need them.
With this in mind we are working with the Children's Air Ambulance to raise funds to reach all these children. The photographs above show the fundraising event from October 2016, with the chocolatier Paul a Young demonstrating his cake baking skills with chef Rosemary Shrager and other celebrities, who participated in making this event the success it was. We will be featuring events that we are organising in conjunction with the Children's Air Ambulance.
